Attacking Direction

I was unsure about which attacking direction throws to only TE.
For my next game, I am playing two TEs and a WR out wide. Am I right in assuming that by choosing "Attack Through Center" that I will throw primarily to my TEs?

And also, what does "Attack Down Both Flanks" mean? Does that mean that I would only throw to my WRs (assuming that I'm playing one on each side), and leave my TE out of the mix?

The only way to target just a WR or just a TE (or both of them) is to attack to the right or the left only and even then, you will get the occasional pass to someone lined up on the other side.

Attacking down the center means that you are trying to attack the interior defensive positions of your opponent and attempting to stay away from the cornerbacks. I have not found any correlation to more passes to the TEs instead of the WRs.

Attacking down both flanks just means you are trying to attack the outside defensive positions of your opponent, i.e., the cornerbacks, OLBs and FS's. I have not found any correlation to more passes to the WR instead of the TE.

Just remember that when you choose a flank to attack, lets say you want to attack the right flank, you will be checking to see if your opponent is weak on the left side of their defense. Vice versa for attacking the left flank, you will want to make sure your opponent is weaker on the right side of their defense.

When attacking down the center vs the flanks, does the engine really favor different tacklers (OLB/CB vs MLB/SF)?

Now way to know for 100%.

But attaching outside seems to target the CBs as the 1st tackler WR or TE. And inside targets the OLBs. MLBs and SFs still are the secondry tacklers.

I've fround attaching outside to have little effect on whom recievers the ball between TE and WR. But attcking middle seems to favour the TE alot.

Same subject, different question: if you attacking down a flank running, does it make much difference if you stack that side of your OL with your best blockers?

I havent seen any "research" that would suggest that it matters, but I might be wrong.. Not alot of time goes into figuring out since running is not very usefull at the higher levels

I _would_ guess so, but you will have to have experience from playing a non-bot team several times with different lineups. Matches against bots or new teams can not be called evidence since the opponent is either random or not skilled enough to determine if setting your 20STR/20BLK O-Linemen on one side and running in that direction.

Furthermore, the game will punish the rushing team once they get a big lead masking the data.

So _if_ data was to be collected then either the first half of (a ton of) bot games or several games against a trusted opponent that can set a weak (and homogeneous) enough D-Line so the strengths of the O-Line.

This is brilliant. I've been wondering about what effect the direction of attack might have on where a pass is directed, or if it affects running plays.

Whilst we're on the subject of running plays could someone tell me what effect is had by my positioning of my Fullback, either left, middle or right? Does it make him block better on runs to that side? Or does the positioning determine whether he only blocks when a run is made to his side. Eg: would a FB on the left only block when runs by the HB are made down the left, but wouldn't block for any runs down the right

And is there any way to get the FB to make some carries WHEN I've also chosen a HB. So far the only way I've ever managed to get a FB carrying the ball is when I've not selected a HB, leaving the FB as my only RB
