What is the lowest Cap possible for strength or speed ?

I'm pretty sure it's 9. I've never had a cap at 8 but have had at 9.

I had a 4.5* Talent that started with Speed 7 and Strength 8 and capped at 8 and 9. Beat that if you can.

7 is the lowest they can start at, so 8 is the first opportunity to cap and I have had one player cap at 8, I just refer to that as a career ending injury

Nothing more frustrating than such low caps. The excitement of picking up a known (ie not random fishing) 5* talent youthpull for 7k killed by capping at 9 strength.
