The following apply to all -

speed
strength
agility
stamina

Blocking applies to all offence (except QB I guess) and ST?
Tackling applies to all defence/ST
Catching - recievers/returners
Passing - QB
Carrying - RBs, QBs.
Positioning - ?
Vision - QB and ?
Footwork - OL and ?

Does carrying apply to WRs, TEs and returners after catch?

I was just giving him my approach if he wanted to cookie cut my team. I think he is just searching for an easy path to the top and he won't find it here. It takes time and patience

I'm just tinkering with the thought of having a WR with high levels of positioning, in the hope that it applies to their route-running ability.

I should think this skill would also work nicely for the secondary defence, and linebackers.

stcb's use blocking, gunners use tackling. As for my team, I also train agility, positioning, vision and footwork for both of these positions....which rounds out the 5 skills max

I assume he was referring to special teams with the ST reference. I was just trying to give him some direction based on my experience

Positioning seems to be a primary skill for cornerback and safety from what I can tell. Not sure how much it helps other positions yet.
