Okay, I'm not a rookie but this is something new on me. I was selling a player, made a mistake and for some reason clicked to bid on him, so technically I am now buying my own player.

So, how does that work then? Am I now going to have to pay the tax on him?

I think they should re-write the code to prevent people from bidding on their own players.
In the past, there have been threads about this and people have made 2 points (a) you can accidentally bid on your own player (b) sometimes a manager puts a player up for sale and either (1)changes his mind or (2)decides the price is too low to accept so tries to'buy him back'.
I think it's just plain wrong. It is open to abuse (people bidding up their own players etc etc).
In a certain other football-management sim (a much better one, I might add ) the code there is written to prevent anyone from bidding on their own players, in my opinion that's the way it should be here.

Yeah, I should have been able to pull him. I basically listed the wrong player in a moment of stupidity.

Anyway, surprised if no one outbid me. Someone could have got a 5* Talent Receiver, 19 teamwork and 19 years old if they had paid $525,000
