I'd play him from the word go. You aren't going to promote this season anyway. If you decide to sell him it won't effect his price much but if you keep him you've made a start on his BPOS.

As you may know it will take around 60-70 game to get full BPOS for a 5* talent with 1.5* BPOS to start with so it's best to get started asap!

And chemistry can be fixed by playing him as kicker in one game...

... but that of course gets reset to ½ star once he is sold.

The other QB could be used on defence, but cap his strength / speed if you are sure you won't be playing him as QB.

keep the 4.5* guy and play him at QB. then you have a good QB for life. or a $3M+ payday in 3 seasons etc. either way, you will win big in the end.

player the other 3.5* Qb at safety.

I would train physicals, and that may mean paying a little extra for fitness trainers if necessary. In fact train physicals for everyone, and you'll save a fortune and know in due course which players are most suitable for certain positions. For sure, if this 4.5* guy doesn't cap until he goes past 15 in both speed and strength his value will be infinitely higher than if he has high passing and vision.

As in hire +1 fitness coach? I didn't realise I actually had 1 of each coach till I looked in there. Live and learn. I assume when it comes to the hiring drop down it's a representation of your current coaching levels and doesn't as a default add 1 coach to each area.

I've currently got him set to training passing as I didn't think physicals were the be all and end with QBs. Everyone else bar a few with high speed/stamina are on fitness.

Training his passing up to 7 is a good plan for a while, but if he pushes on into double figures his wages will kill your team.

Was thinking about up to 10 for the first go around on passing. That's based on following the "READ THIS FIRST" second post guide on developing players.

When hiring coaches, you are essentially firing your current coaching staff and hiring a new staff at the levels you indicate (minimum 1 on each). Due to the bonus that's paid every time you hire a coaching staff, it's highly recommended that you don't hire your coaches in small increments. It's better to save up and get 20 fitness coaches later, than to get 5 fitness coaches now, then go to 10 a little later, etc.

Speed and strength for QB's don't appear to be necessary, but a QB with good speed is a bonus since they have been known to run on occasion. Also, depending on how his speed and strength cap, and what other players you get as your team progresses, you might decide to move him to LB or SF later on.

Ahhh sorry with you now, my understanding of the coaching was a little off, it's not quantity then but quality. In that case than yes I'm probably best waiting to get a LVL 20 coach in one go. Max the VIP seats first then plump for a fitness coach (LVL 20)?

This is the way I'd go. It does slow down your training some since it takes a little longer to get your coaches, but you will save a lot of money by not having to pay and re-pay bonus money to coaches.
The best way to acquire coaches seems to be to buy in 2 or 3 lumps.
1. fitness (or fitness and defense together)
2. fitness and defense (skipped if you did this first, you could also just skip on to 3 if you want)
3. all (kicking optional)

Obviously, when you buy a coaching group, buy to max 20 for each group you purchase.
