How many is too many Players? Does depth help for a game? Right now I have 32 Players on my team (I think). Should I continue the bidding war with Iman on that TE that I don't really need but he's pretty good?

Yea I decided to turn my attention elsewhere. Nice Player, hope you win him.

As for depth - I'm mostly wondering if there has been any word about future changes that could make having depth more beneficial. Right now it seems mostly good in case of injuries and for flexibility in formations used. Maybe someday Subbing out based upon energy?

I doubt it since they want to keep this game as simple as possible. The only thing a deep roster really does for you right now is allow you train replacements and keep people on hand in case of injuries, like ya said. Probably more harm than good to keep to deep a roster at this stage of the game... coming from the guy who has an injury on his bench already.. bah!

I had an injury - so I fired the guy. He was pretty good but I've got enough depth and didn't want to pay him with no chance to play him.

Oh man, you should have at least tried to sell him. I see people buying them all the time.

Depth could be beneficial when Special Teams is implemented next season, no?

I thought that was just for Kick and Punt returners, is it for the entire line up during the KR and PR and/or the Kick Off line up?

I believe you can pick a couple of other positions, but I'm not sure as to which. Bare with me, just throwing a couple of extra ideas out there

2.) The Middle way
You select your 2 Gunners, Corners to cover the Gunners, Punter and Punt returner. The rest of the special team gets input from your existing formation. The Formation used would be the Spread punt formation. Which means 2 Tight Ends, 2 Guards, 2 Tackles, a Center/Snapper and a Personal Protector.

So there are a couple of extra positions that you could train up. Admittedly, you could just put some of your starters into that lineup. However, what if the Admins decide to implement players gaining a rating for special teams? This would mean 50/50 chance as to which position gains a rating for that match; the starting position on D or O, or, the Special Teams.

EDIT: I used the Middle Way, as it is the one which is most likely to be implemented.
