Is it possible to retrain a guy who has his max BPOS in a position for a different position?

yes, just play him in the position you want him in, it will change eventually. 0.5 star BPOS = approx 10 friendly games.

K ty for your help I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to use a player to his fullest potential because I changed my mind on his position in the middle.

For clarification, this means that every 10 friendly games, his BPOS will go up half a star? And when you say friendly games, does league improve it the same? So if a player played both games during a week, he'd improve half a star every 5 weeks?

Ok, 10 games on average. Do league games count? I assume so but I'm just looking for clarification since the world "friendly" was used.

Any game counts, friendly, league, cup, AFLC.

I also think BPOS gains are similar to experience gains. League and International games give bigger gains.

Approx 10 friendly games = 0.5 star BPOS.
Approx 7 league/cup games = 0.5 star BPOS.
Approx 4 AFLC games = 0.5 star BPOS.

Not 100% sure on the quicker ones, but playing both friendly and league games with the same player will net you 0.5 star BPOS every 5 weeks.

And remember he will first change BPOS when the new position has more stars than the old one.

I have done it with some few guys with success, but it is a long quest, but as I said, you should not be looking at what the computer says, but more how many stars he does have in your desired BPOS.
