In the next few weeks I will have maxed out on VIP & Exec seats

I already have a fitness centre and will not be ready for a training facility

So what will be my next choice of spending - the club shop or a youth acad ?

I'm inclined with the club shop as my youth pulls have provided me with a 5 star, 2 x 4,5 and numerous 4 star guys in the last 2 months

Thanks for advice

If you've got full coaches i'd go ahead and do the training centre as soon as possible. The shop might be better after you promote to Div 4 as the return isn't as good in Div 5.

The youth academy Is expensive and doesn't guarantee better player talent just better starting skills and more choice of players as well as revealing some of the physical attributes.

Some people hate the youth academy but I like mine. However I would advise the training centre and all upgrades to that before adding the academy.

Your stadium is 5850 ?? at the moment , I think 13,500 is the capacity with maxed Exec & VIP (12,500 exec/vip plus 1000 regular).
I think you can go to about 35,000 in Div V and it still makes sense.
Personally, I'd go to above 30,000 before even thinking about youth academy ...... same with club shop, I'd probably wait for Div 4 before club shop.
Training centre is a good idea though.

choices, choices, eh ? ! ....

Ok thanks, but is there any point having a training facility if 90% of my players will be in the fitness centre as not maxed out......?

If you are planning on developing young cheap players then i would add the training facilities after the vip and exec seats are built. With a small payroll you are still going to be earning plenty of money to add seats as and when. Without the facilities it takes a long time to see player improvement which is what I was most interested in.

This is just my opinion though and there are plenty of different ways to go about getting a competitive team.

SOme players (QB and K) don't need fitness training and others will cap and then need it. Do you have coaches?

I have the fitness coaches yes, but no others.....

Surely spending nearly $1m & coaches costs to train just one QB & a kicker is not money well spent, as most of my players will need quite a while getting fit and it wouldn't hurt my QB & kicker to be fitter than they already are

I recently bought a 20yr old, 4 talent for $10,000 .
He was capped (already) at 20 strength, 15 speed and he came with 18 stamina.
If I had a training facility, he'd be pretty sh*t hot in everything very quickly. You'd only need to buy a few players like that and train em up in the training centre for your team to improve at little cost (from a transfer fee perspective).

btw, your squad is small and cheap (wages) - congrats, I think that's the way to go in Div V , don't take this the wrong way, but your players aged 28 or over, I'd be looking to move them on while they still have some value. I use that greasemonkey script that highlights a player's age ... great for reminding me if I've got an OAP on the squad

I got rid of one today after a 4 star pull.....

The thing is though it will now start making the team worse until I get proper training (after the fitness) as the 4 29/30 guys I have a few 7's in the skill positions....

My 30 year old OL is a fun project currently at 336lb in the nutrition centre to see if I can get myself a fat lardbelly unable to get round 400+ lineman...... before he bursts just like on Monty Pythons meaning of life and then cant play anymore !!

And besides - nothing wrong with a couple of oldies on a team - I'm 47 and still playing 8-)

If you have the training hall and fitness coaches then you will be levelling up one of SP and ST every three games or so for each player assuming you are using a focus approach to training. You'll be lucky if you don't start to see players capping and then you have to decide what to do next, cut if physicals don't match what you want or train skills if you do.

Training skills without facilities is slow as i'm sure you know and it takes a couple of weeks to build the training hall so If you have the cash I'd be tempted to go ahead and do it. I don't think the other facilities are as good an investment for you at this point but it is your call. If you'd rather build up more cash first that's certainly not a bad answer either.
