Everywhere on this community I read the same advices :
- fire older player
- fire player with 3 stars or less
- get some 3.5+ stars players

But for a newbie like me (div. V, stadium capacity of 1500) it's pretty hard.

How can I have a 29 players team if I fire everybody?
I guess I have to keep «imperfect» players for the moment?

How can I get 3.5 stars or more players?
- buying them and spending all my money (that I must keep to build VIP's if I follow other advices)
- hoping to recruit them, each week, one by one, via the Youth players option... that could take years!

So patience is the best way or...?

I fired all my older guys and started spending less than 10.000 a player on the transfer market hoping to get lucky.

I invested most of my money into my stadium.

Through this I now have a squad of 3.5* + talent and my stadium vip and execs will be finished at the end of january.

Its a game that takes a lot of time to develop, there is no quick fixes.

when they say fire older players/under 3.5* talent, they don't mean straight away.

replacing 1 per week from your youth pull is a start. and it is free.

even if he is under 3.5* talent. a 16yo 2.5* talent player is much better than a 29yo 3.5* talent.

when I was new i did quite well buying 16 and 17 yr old players on the trade market for 1k to 5k, also you can send an email to the selling player, about half will send back a message with the players talent level if you ask, and the ones listed as free agent are complete pot luck an occasiona 4 1/2 or 4 star mixed in with some one star players that i would just fire

I did the same thing early on. I used to buy lots of players on the transfer market for $1000 each. I ended up firing half of them, but the other half were keepers, including 1-2 high-star players. It maybe took a season to flush out the old guys and I was able to keep up with stadium construction.

When I was newbie I build my stadium pretty much everytime when I had some extra money. I made just one big mistake and hired one very high salary lineman. Live and learn.

Then one nice day got really lucky and pulled two young and very talented players in a short period. I realized that I had no change to train them so the best decision was to sell those kids. 4 mil richer and invested all I could to my fancy stadium thou I bought one young very talented TE for only 400k... I think it was a good trade for me.

My advice for newbies is to sell high talented youngsters and to invest those money to your stadium.

edit.

I still am having couple originals who are closer to 30 than 20 yrs. They can still make awesome plays.
