Hey guys,

I'm new to this and was wondering: After going through the spreadsheet, I would put players on positions that they dont officially play. Does it matter whether or not their new position is on the "alternatives list" in the player info (for example: I'm thinking of starting my Kicker at QB, but his info doesnt say that he could play QB).

What do you guys think?

I'm no expert but what I read says go ahead. My QB is a DL who's resume didn't mention QB. Eventually it will change to the position he's playing.

Well, seeing as you have taken control of your team so late in the season, it is probably going to be more useful for you - in terms of the future - to go ahead and put every player where you think that they should be played.

Well, seeing as you have taken control of your team so late in the season, it is probably going to be more useful for you - in terms of the future - to go ahead and put every player where you think that they should be played.



Agree with Guru....your league is mostly bots, so you should win most of your remaining games. Play your players were they are best suited and they will change rather quickly.

The only think I would make sure, is that you win enough games to avoid relegation.

Btw: what exactly does the "positioning" attribute do? Not sure this is the right thread for that question but hey, this is the Rookie Center, right?

My assumption of Positioning is somewhat 'Covering'...

More neccessary for Linebackers, Corners and Safeties in my opinion.

Another view on positioning might be the ability for wideouts and tight ends (or anyone who can catch for that matter) to put themselves in the right spot to catch the ball..just my humble opinion..

@Freakin Stud: If that's the idea behind positioning, then it should probably work for most the positions, shouldnt it? Like: Help the SS diagnose the play and get into the right position to get to the ball-carrier or help the CBs to get in position for the pass deflection...


I've got another question (more of a general question): does this game ever get busy? I mean... I've figured out the best position for all my players (or so I hope ) and now I'm just waiting for stuff... waiting for my first game, my first practice, new youth players...
Couldnt practice and games be more often?

No that is about it, this game is not only for people who want daily action but people who want to log in a couple time a week should be able to compete as well

Never mind my question then, if the Admin says "Thats the way it is + and will be" then I'll have to look elsewhere to distract me from studying!
