He should be OK at QB for now. Make sure to either train his vision and passing up or be on the lookout for a better one.

Just got this guy...he's got really good talent, but not much else. What would you do with him? I'm thinking of sacking the guy, but he's got 4 1/2 stars of talent.

Only thing I can think of is training him to be a punter as his talent should allow his punting skill to get to 19, were others would max out a lot lower. But that would take a long time...not sure its worth it.

He sure could go pretty high with his talent, but with his low teamwork it would take a lot of time. I could evaluate that it would take atleast a season to get his punting one point up if you only trained kicking. If you also train other skills then he most likely will never reach 19 punting.

I would'nt fire him, but rather put him on the transfer list for 5k. Propably someone would take him.

Not putting positions since he is so young that I can get him experience on any position.

I was thinking about making him an LB since I could use a prospect there. With his high intelligence though he could play for instance QB, but I already have this player as a QB:

Aleksi Hovi, I think I'd make into a LB. He has decent tackling and other skills (positioning needs work). QB is a possibility, but would take a long time to get his passing to even adequate. Plus his Consistency is low and ultimately, I think people will want QBs with really high passing which make his 2.5 stars of talent a little on the low side. If I were going to invest a lot of time to train up a player's 2 passing skill, I'd like to think he'd have a little higher upside than 15 passing.

For me, I'd probably try to sell Kristian Lahtela. I don't see a really great fit anywhere.

TE perhaps? Good catching, some blocking...needs more strength.

I have a tough time knowing what to do with guys that don't have either good strength or speed. I think one or both is essential for almost every position except QB, Kicker and Punter.

Starting QB
Backup QB

I got somewhat of a problem here as my backup is starting to do well but some of his skills are not better than the current starter so im looking for some advice on weather or not i should bench the old man who is going to retire or keep the old man playing and let the young guy continue to train in friendly matches

If the older QB is still sellable then I would think about that. he's bound to retire soon and even if he isn't he's already losing skills. Save yourself the years worth of wages with next years wage update.

Cant sell him...hes going to retire after this season and i might just move him to LB or bench warmer and let the rookie take over

But it will save me about 4k once he is gone

If he is already at retiring stage then get your money's worth out of him and let the kid develop. Play the kid in friendlies and matches you are reasonable sure of winning. keep the old boy around in case the kid breaks.
