As an undeveloped team, I'm going to try to run the ball more than pass it. As this limits mistakes and makes the game closer against better teams. Am I right in that assumption? Or does GI require a more balamced offense to keep the defense guessing?
Also I'm unsure whether I'll have more success in I-form or a double tied end set. I'd be grateful for any answers.

As it stands now, running game will not help much beyond the first couple seasons and against bots. Passing is the way to go for long term success. With that said, a new game engine will be implemented at the end of this season for friendly matches and then for all matches starting next season. There is supposed to be a boost to the running game, among other changes. So stay tuned for more information concerning the new game engine and that will help you with your question.

Unless you're counting on living of the sponsor money for winning, I would not use much time on tactics. You are not in place to be promoted and you should concentrate on:

1) Building VIP / EXEC's
2) Rotate players for best fit
3) Pull young talent and use them
4) Find <10.000 3½+ star talent.

You could mix in playing with tactics, but your talent mass is not big enough to keep opponents guessing.

running game currently only matters against bots(i run 90%) against humans i run 10%, and i have not noticed a difference in scoring against a bot team if i run double TE set or I fromation with a fullback

Tends to not matter much against bots -- play any formation, and you win.

I had a heavy run team against a team that seemed to be about two weeks older than mine and won about 70-7.
I had assumed it was tactics and running the ball haha. They weren't a BOT team so I thought it was the way to go. Why would this happen?

Your opponent (Urban Bukowskis) forgot to replace an injured/ transferred player on defense and hence had a bot line-up on Dfence

I beat him again 63-0 and there was no BOTTING on defense this time. I'm confused haha
