I take it you can move the players to suit any formation

some players on nfluk.com has said the 4-4 has been a beast for them so far this year,

4-3 works best for me i guess, with a linebacker to plug the only gap between my dt and de, (the only gap an o-lineman has to get to teh second level

I've played 3-4 all the time and I seem to have a reasonable amount of success with it, I image the players you use determine the best system for your team.

currently stuck on 5-3 which is not supposed to work to well as no real role for 5 man line but works for the players i have. tried the 4-3,4-4 and the 3-4 but just doesnt seem to work or i dont give it enough time to work. as has been said its all down to your teams strengths to which formation used. wot is strange is i have seen some mad setups
3 line 1 LB 3 SS 2 FS 2 CB and close a team down which i presume is because of the zoning in game.

yes in theory a running play, my defense plugs the o-lineman up and either forces him towards my safeties on the outside and or the two linebackers where the te's should be.

agreed.... 4-3 is the better 'default' to cover all options..
