I have my own theory on this, but was wondering what you guys felt was the most defensive system.

Kind Regards

It depends what players you have defensively. If you have 4 great Linebackers, go 3-4. If you have 5 great Defensive Linemen, go 5-3...

I think the formation needs to adjust to your players, not your players adjusting to your formation

Of course I've sort of tailored my players and transfer market to have a 3-4 formation, mainly because I was thinking long term for when the passing game becomes more viable and also, I had great defensive linesman and mainly linebackers, as that is what I am training them towards Tailor it to suit you mate best way to do it.

I went 4-3 on my first game and won 77-7 against a human controlled team, so that seems to have worked ok for me. gonna be difficult to know whats gonna work though as my next match is against a bot team

Thanks for the advice

I agree with Guru just use your players to fit the positions. I personally like a 4-3. My DL have goodish strength while my LB's have good speed and vision to drop back into pass coverage.. I am babbling now lol

I have just bought a ridiculously good NT for a lot of cash. $105,000 to be precise...

I have also just bought a future Linebacker...

This means I have 5 great Linemen and 4 great Linebackers now, so I can change up my formations as to how I think the opposition will play, and not what personell I have.

well I've managed to pickup 3 brilliant potentially nasty wide recievers, that all have good stats in their running, carrying, catching etc. My team was essentially built with an offensive nature and I am now trying to find a half decent quarterback to successfully make the players useful

So far, looking for my lovely 3-4 linebacker position, which I'm in need of high intellegence, vision, and footwork, with the standard speed and strength oh and tackling would be a great one

I prefer the 3-4 myself, but as an earlier post said you should use the system to suit your players.

I take it you can move the players to suit any formation
