[USA] Reservoir Docs vs. Winnipeg Rifles [Canada]

The Rifles have the most impressive collection of wins in all of North America. One more team that they reveal as a paper tiger would surprise no one. The Docs got here on defense. They are hoping that the balanced attack will be able to convince the doubters that they deserve that spot in the AFLC.

[Argentina] Guanacos vs. Furacao Paranaense [Brazil]
Guanacos has an effective passing attack that has other South American teams scratching their heads. They hope to keep up the streak of being able to outpace their opponents in the race to 35 points. Furacao on the other hand, wants the pace to slow down to a turtles speed. Containing the oppositions run game is their bread and butter, can they rein in the high powered attack of Guanacos to give Brazil a double entry in the AFLC?

[Hungary] Budapest Wolves vs. Groningen Greyhounds [Netherlands]

Dogs vs Wolves, enemies in the wild since the beginning of time. Will the Dutch Doggies be able to hold off the rabid wolf strikes from Gergő Szűcs. Groningen has already taken out the German powerhouse Brady's Bunch with a solid run game and lock tight defense. Who will triumph in the canine collision?

[United Kingdom] Portsmouth Punishers vs. Skive Gators [Denmark]

Karma is killing the cup with kindness. His eloquent Punishers are a model of efficiency as they pound the ball to soften up a defence only to score over the top of the tired and beaten defenders. The good part is they always apologize as they grind your face into the mud. Tobias Ludvigsen is the kind of reliable deep threat that every team in GI is longing for.He consistantly gashes opposing teams with his long graceful stride. The Gators have a bitingly disciplined defense as well. This will be a test of wills to be sure.

[Poland] Tombosze vs. The Crew Wroclaw [Poland]

Polands finest will be taking the field in the AFLC next season. The only question is who is the coach that will lead that team out of the tunnel? Krs71 has The Crew rallying around the arm of Ozie Holler. Teams try to stop him by stuffing the line fo scrimmage but he dances away to throw darts and pop their hopes of carrying him off the field, but even Ozie pales in comparison to Million Dollar Maksymilian Przepióra. He leads one of the most prolific passing attacks in all of the cup. Teams struggle to even contain the long range missle of an arm the Maks brings to the table. One thing is for sure. Look for this score to be in the high 30s on both sides.

Second half coming later....Last edited on 2008-12-12 at 4:19

Ten teams on my list of teams to beat! Good god, my freaking division has people who got far in the cup and people who dispatch those teams at will. Before winnipeg's last win he had 2 losses to teams I've beaten. But anyways, great job!

When I say ten teams I mean the eight winners and top two division winners. And the other 6... 16 teams...

[Serbia] Pancevo Tulips vs. Patriote [Serbia]

Patriote has taken a hard road through this cup taking on Internationale in one of the best games in GI up to this point. They are of the mindset that no one and I mean NO ONE can stop their run game. After posting 238 yards on an imposing Internationale team defense. Of course paopao and his NYG wannabies have already tried this road against Akaki Noke's defense last cup match and still the Tulips were just too much in the air. Their bend but don't break defense traded punches for a whole half before a 3 touchdown explosion placed them in the finals. This game will be legendary.

[China] Deimon Devil Bats vs. Texan Cowboys [Malaysia]

This game should be a blowout. Look for the Devil bats to join the Seasian Tigers in the AFLC next season. No disrespect intended to the Cowboys but a team that is playing rosters both ways going up against a team that apparently knows football is not a matchup.

[Israel] Bat Yam Raiders vs. noamroseking [Israel]

There is a very realistic chance that Noamroseking will end up in the AFLC as a bot. Bat Yam apparently has started playing a consistent lineup. Lets hope it is enough for them to take out Noamroseking.

[Australia] Elizabeth Wombats vs. Tazdevils [Australia]

Here is a battle of two hard hitting football powerhouses. Tazdevils features stellar play on both sides of the line most notably the Center Daniel Everitt. They do all phases of the game quite well nothing excellent but nothing bad either. This kind of team is almost impossible to totally shut down. The same can be said about fellow countryman Dazz and his Wombats. I tell you now this game WILL end in overtime. They are mirrors of the same football philosophy, with the exception that the Wombats run out of the proset and both backs see the ball. Whereas the Devils play a strong I formation that relies on Patrick Griffin to open holes for speedy Jaxson Neitz.

SO there you have it folks Half of these teams will be in the AFLC by this time next week. Have a good night and enjoy the games!

Nice one Merc

Have to admit, I'm expecting us to lose to the Gators. I've been playing a very successful offensive formula all season but each week takes it's toll on the lynch pin and I'm torn between leaving it and hoping for the best or swapping in 1 or 2 of the up-and-comers and changing strategy to match. Either way is risky for the final!
IF we can keep it close, trust is in Ali "Money" Phillips to kick the winner, but it's a big IF in my opinion.

Good luck to all the finalists, hopefully we can all have nail biting matches that go down to the wire

My D# is too good. They won't score 30 points on us They can score maximum 17 points. No way, they will score more We are too good on defense

And on offense I got something special for them
