Position rating will increase 1/2 star for every 10 games the player plays at the same position. Example, you must play a player 10 games at QB for the player to increase 1/2 star position rating for QB. The BPOS rating (the main one you see on player page) will be equal to the highest position rating a player has. So if the player is playing out of position, it will take a while.

Thanks mate you would think that anyones talent could improve tho lol
But it does not. Therefore scouting (or PM'ing the guy selling) the player is a good idea. No need to buy a developement player with less than 4 star talent.

Just a side note, as I have already addressed this in another thread. There is no "rule" of 10 games for 1/2 star of bpos. This may be an average you have noticed, but I've had players change in 1 game and others take darn near a season to gain 1/2 star

I have been tracking the positional rating for all of my players for about 2 seasons now. When I first start playing a player at a new position, sometimes it takes less than 10 games to increase the rating. I think it's because the player has already played some games at that position that I wasn't aware of, whether it was with another team, or randomly generated when the player was created. However, once I've played a player at a position long enough to gain a 1/2 star increase at the position, it has taken exactly 10 games of play at that position to increase it the next 1/2 star in every instance.

I've experienced the same thing and have been tracking it for about two seasons also.
I have been tracking it as well and it is all over the boards for me. I've even had a player gain 1/2 star in back to back games. I would suggest getting an admin to confirm this before you say it's a fact, that's all. That would mean I have both benefited from glitches in the game and been burned (my one player that took almost a whole season to change 1/2 star)

The only difference in having a 4,5-5,0*-player is one game as I guess. At average, every player needs 10 games to raise the specific rating by 1/2 a star, nevertheless the talent is.
So, after all, talent might just have an influence on max. skills than BPOS-rise. (The difference on a rating-increase comparing a 2*- and a 4,5*-player is marginal)
Fortunately, I quit on bidding on 5,0*-players as there should be no effect on rating at all.

why d anyone think so? Talent( by definition usually )doesnt change....Its the skill that improves/deteriorates
