Figured I'd post it here as this is where I've noticed some pretty experienced people lurk.

I was looking up a former Top Division opponent from my first stint in this game and noticed they had gone bot some time ago. However, they appear to have players that were presumably put in a National Team before going bot (players mostly from New Zealand, so a nation with a more limited team base).

My question is, what happens if that team is taken over by a new owner during our current WC cycle? I'm guessing the players will retire/disappear as per normal, but will the team be allowed to call up replacements? Has this happened before with other NTs?
