I now have a youth academy. When I go to the Youth Section, I can read : "Your team has it's own youth academy. 4 kids from this academy showed potential to be good football players."
But I had the choice between only 3 young players... Is it normal ?

It is normal. Mine says the same thing. As Abcat says, if you upgrade your youth academy, you'll have more players to choose from.
