Curiosity Question with formations

I'm assuming that since everyone is newly developing their QB's the pasing game isn't where it will be after some additional training (and I've been reading in the threads that the run game is decent right now) so I'm wondering how people are defending against people who overload one side or the other with receivers. If I did decide to go with say.. 3 WRs and put them all left with a left TE and favor passing... even a high school QB should be able to find an open man right? I'm assuming that most people are playing the safe card, defending the run with the front 4 and back 3 and looking for passes on both sides with the standard 2 CBs and 2 safeties. So that would leave 2 secondaries on one side of the field to cover 3 men and a blocking TE. Something is bound to get through right?

Is there anyway to spy or game scout a past game to see if an owner is setting up his offense in such a way?

First of all, you can't jam 3 WR o the same side.
This leads to a maximum 3 receivers (2WR + 1TE) on a side, so having one CB and one FS is almost enough I think.

secondly while Dioneanu is correct this game won't let you run trips to a side. There are teams running what I like to call the G-I A-11 or coining a new phrase just right now, the Gia11break offense. it's a pass wacky affair consisting of a line up of:

1 qb
1 rb
2 g
1 c
2 te
4 wr

it has been sucessful to varying degrees based on the region it's run in. I'm thinking about trying it in a friendly this week

If they ran different routes, The TE runs a slant, WR1 runs an in and out, and WR2 streaks 2 defenders shouldn't be able to cover that. Anyway, it was just a question of curiosity on what everyone is seeing in trends.

you're absolutely right tahl but one thing you have to know about gi is is that its a numerical sim. routes aren't being run (yet) everything happens in a "zone". this will help you understand dioneanu's pov.

Ahhh ha!! OK, that is a good piece of information. In the absence of routes and since it's based entirely on numbers et all... that does make more sense to me.

Now... what about blitz? Is that the same? Generated randomly or?
