As I am in my first season I am finding it hard to manage the talent I have on the roster at the moment.

For example I have a chap who is a 5* talent but isn't consistent enough or smart enough to be my QB. So while deciding what to so with him long term based on his physicals I am now wondering should I move another chap into the qb slot.

I have a guy with 20 intelligence and 19 consistency but he's only 3.5* talent, is there any point or am I just wasting my time on him.

It's definitely worth using 'stop gap' players. You won't be able to get all the players you need at the talent levels you want very quickly or cheaply. Put players in the position that help you out the most now and keep them there. Over time as you acquire better players, just substitute them in for the current starter. At a point, the players you'll replace will be good enough to serve as big game starters, or could be sold for decent cash.
You're 3.5* player will work great as a QB until you find the 4.5*+ talent guy to fill the spot.

My current QB is 4*. I just recently found a 4.5* who will serve as my future starter unless I find somebody with higher consistency before then.

I would take the 3,5* Talent as QB, too. The 5*Talent could be a guy for your D-Line. In my opinion is consistency for D-Line not so important.

That's what I was thinking as I had a few good tips from some other guys in a thread recently on him and I think I'll feel more comfortable with him at D Line.

i would use the 3.5 as well and at this point that high talent guy use any place that makes sense based on his skills if his intel and con are that bad you may not want him long term anyway.

best advice is get talent of any kind into positions and dump the 3* and less as soon as possible. Get a few seats built and buy cheap stuff on the market set yourself a weekly limit so you dont get in trouble in the finance department.

feel free to read this guide i wrote a while back for some friends

you can get away with using the less talented guy as QB in the first 2 divs do i would use him and search for a replacement.

For a stop-gap QB, passing would be the single most important skill. I think there have be lots of semi-successful players with less than optimal talent, intelligence, consistency, but not passing.
