Quoted from Training FAQ:

7. Is it possible for a player to go above his maximum?

It is possible, it's just that much harder for the player to achieve that.
If a player is at his maximum then he has 1 in 3 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 1 then he has 1 in 5 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 2 then he has 1 in 10 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 3 then he has 1 in 20 chance to gain a point/level.
It is impossible for a player to go more than 4 above his maximum.

I had thought this always applied only to stats that were maxed out due to talent/BPos, but does this also apply to capped physicals? I ask as I had an OL with 19.97 Str (capped according to my spreadsheet) who was training up his stamina, and he rolled strength over to a 20.

Just curious if my spreadsheet was screwed up, or if it is actually possible - albeit difficult, to roll over capped physicals?

6. What about the player's talent. How does that effect the training?

The only 3 exceptions to this rule are speed, strength and stamina. Speed and strength are limited by a hidden maximum value (different for each player) that represents the maximum value player can reach even if he trains with weights each and every day. Stamina is not limited at all, and with extensive physical (fitness) training every player can reach 20 in stamina.

-> did not had a Speed/Strength rollover in the past year over the capped value - so i guess your entry might by wrong.

-> it was possible in the past, but they fixed this - intested it on a crap player for a season long (5 rollovers without gaining)...

...sure could also been i was just unlucky

Be happy though - 20 is better than 19 :-)

Figured I just slipped up on the spreadsheet.

Actually I'm kind of relieved, otherwise I had a bunch of players I should've been forcing to work up the "soft caps" on.

I get one every once in a while that increases a fitness skill when I thought it was capped. Not sure where the miscalculation is, but I always train for 1 extra week just to make sure I've actually hit the cap.
