if I have 11 players on Offense and 11 on Defense, and if I select no players on special team, what will happen? will the cpu pick random guys for returning/kicking? or will it be an illegal formation?

or if I just put 1 KR on the right side -> will he only return?

you'll get a random formation for both questions.

this means, I have to have at least 11 players and I can put them in all offense, defense and the special team slots -> then I will avoid illegal/random formation?

It you do that then the players will not play to their full potential. Their abilities will be severely restricted by playing in more than one position.

yeah, I know... playing "iron" kills your stamina

but theoretically, 11 players are enough per match?

Would be enough, jipp.

But, nevertheless, you cannot cut your roster down to 11 players

It's 18. For the beginning I prefer a roster of min. 29 players, one player for each position and afterwards extend it with young talented players.
