Right, Im in a dilemma... how would you build an O-line with the following players... assume they are all capped on speed and strength (there not but makes it easier) are all the same age (21) and all max BPOS (and all 4.5 talent)... who would you play where... and how would you develop them...

Player 1
Strength 19
Speed 9
Blocking 11
Positioning 5
Vision 6
Footwork 9
Agility 10

Intelligence 13
Height (ft) 6'1"
Consistency 18

Player 2
Strength 19
Speed 13
Blocking 11
Positioning 2
Vision 4
Footwork 8
Agility 10

Intelligence 13
Height (ft) 6'1"
Consistency 19

Player 3
Strength 19
Speed 17
Blocking 11
Positioning 9
Vision 9
Footwork 4
Agility 9

Intelligence 6
Height (ft) 5'11"
Consistency 20

Player 4
Strength 20
Speed 15
Blocking 11
Positioning 8
Vision 7
Footwork 8
Agility 4

Intelligence 13
Height (ft) 6'5"
Consistency 16

Player 5
Strength 20
Speed 10
Blocking 10
Positioning 3
Vision 1
Footwork 3
Agility 10

Intelligence 15
Height (ft) 6'3"
Consistency 15

Player 6
Strength 18
Speed 15
Blocking 9
Positioning 5
Vision 5
Footwork 5
Agility 9

Intelligence 14
Height (ft) 5'11"
Consistency 17

Player 7
Strength 18
Speed 14
Blocking 11
Positioning 5
Vision 3
Footwork 6
Agility 10

Intelligence 4
Height (ft) 6'1"
Consistency 20

As things stand, with speed not seeming to effect WRs i'm struggling to believe that it has any effect on OL's. That Being the case I work on the theory that strongest play on the outside of the line. Although I put my most intelligent at centre I'm not sure it makes much difference although I think I remember Jesper saying that it helped.

Budget constraints set how I'm building to a certain extent. I train agility along side blocking to keep costs down and once I've reached my level look to footwork and then might consider the tactical stuff but not sure it really matters, particularly at guard.

As an eternal optimist, even in GI, I am currently looking at getting bigger on the O-line as when we get a new engine (told you I was an optimist!) more mass at these positions would seem to be key. Long term I would think the ideal will be players well over 6 foot. This may be very ling term.....

I even out blocking and footwork for the ones who needs to catch up, and add tacticals and agility when target levels are reached in the first two (in other words, trained on the ones who need to be "caught" )

Most int. on C, fastest on tackles (dont know if speed really matters) but I generally go with the better players on tackles.. There might be minor differences in how much each of those things value for each of the positions, but I dont think we will ever exactly know, only guestimate, so I just try to even them out after the mentioned pattern..

Edit: And the reason I go with footwork first is because Im working with a theory that goes something like this: Footwork for "slow" calculations, agility for "fast".. This would mean that some players would need both if they are involved in both types of action (RB being a good example), and if I had to follow my theory the only guys on O-line that could be involved in "fast" calcs are tackles, but as I said its a theory, and thats why I get agility on all of them

I'm sure I saw a quote from the admins saying that agility should b treated like a physical skill and shouldn't have impacted on salary but that they wouldn't change it now. I think on this basis that high agility could have a big impact. That being the case I look to match it to the highest skill of any player at any position with the exception of kicker.

(should say this is interesting to me different opinions but also i put it in the rookie section as its about player evaluation and how we all do it differently when faced with a bunch of players... thought it might be nice to see...)

On the O Line

I wouldn't know where to put them, you should listen to people who do know something about american football.

1 thing though... Those guys are a bit small... for now that is okay, but in 5 seasons when the new ME comes??
