Im new to grid iron and im just wondering how the after game experince works? how much do my plers gain?

I believe it mentions it in the FAQ somewhere. I think it's half-a-point for league games, a bit more for cup games and a point and a bit in the AFLC.
They need about 10 points to gain half-a-star in their profile, so it's a slow process.

I guess the better question is, does it have any affect on the game engine?

Supposedly higher experience builds team chemistry quicker.
Though not as quickly as playing them once at kicker.

If you look a player's page, you will see four different categories graded by stars. Rating goes up for a position for game experience at that position (about a 1/2 star per 10-11 games?). That is very important for player performance. Talent is constant, and it limits how high positional rating can go. Team chemistry goes up with game experience at maybe a half star every other game (and there is also a kicker bug). Finally, experience goes up very slowly with playing time, and its only value to help team chemistry increase faster (so, in other words, it is worthless). Hope that helps .

...in fact a player lined-up solely as a kicker wii gain instant-full-tc within one game...
