Spread Sheet Formulas

Okay, some of us have made spread sheets to try to evaluate our players and figure out where to play our guys. I have a pretty crude one with the following formulas, that I thought I'd share -- and hopefully other will help refine these formulas or submit their own:

QB = (3*Vision+2*Intelligence+5*Passing)/10
HB = (2*Vision+6*Carrying+5*Speed+3*Strength+4*Agility)/20
FB = (1*Blocking+1*Speed+1*Strength)/3
WR = (1*Carrying+5*Catching+7*Speed+3*Agility)/16
TE = (3*Blocking+5*Catching+3*Strength)/11
OL = (2*Footwork+5*Blocking+5*Strength+1*Stamina)/13
DL = (5*Tackling+5*Strength+1*Stamina)/11
LB = (2*Vision+5*Tackling+5*Speed+5*Strength+2*Agility)/19
CB = (2*Tackling+2*Catching+6*Speed+4*Agility)/14
SF = (3*Vision+3*Tackling+5*Speed+3*Agility)/14

I didn't include experience & chemisty (because there didn't seem to be much difference between players) and natural position (because I don't mind a player playing out of position, because that position will change over time).

Other obvious omissions is positioning, because frankly, I'm not really sure how it work. Kicking and punting seemed to be pretty straight forward, so I didn't bother calculating those for a kicker and punter.

I also have another metric called Trainability to evaluate upside:

Trainability = 4 * MAX(0, Talent + Teamwork/2 - Age + 20)

Chemistry just so you know can affect your player up to 30%

Thanks for the data point. I was actually using the spread sheet to determine where to play my player initially, so I didn't include chemistry or positional rating (because those would change over time). Obviously, the results of the formulas are thus long-term ratings versus game-day ratings that would need to include chemistry, positional ratings, fitness, experience etc.

Have you looked at Koltrane's model at all? I have that and one that Dioneanu worked out.

No I haven't. Is there a link to these two models?

Thanks,
