Alright I've been a Manager at GI for some time. Took the time to invest in my stadium, currently I'm at 79k seats and when my construction is complete, I'll be at @100k capacity.

This season I've played 9 games so far (league and friendly). My two highest attendance games are ... wait for it... league games against bots. (51937 and 49395 in attendance on rainy days!).

This season (except for the first game) I've consistently been in the top 3. For some of my friendly games I played Div 2 teams, but the attendance was low and the Revenue was not good, at all. I'm not finding that having a big stadium is all that beneficial if I cant fill the seats. I'm very aware of what the FAQ says about the attendance factors. But the maintenance costs dont seem to be worth it. I thought when I made it to DIV3 that I wouldnt have anymore $24,000.00 games.

Any ideas on how to boost attendance and cash? My next steps are to lower my stadium capacity, to the highest attendance +10,000 that I've had so far, this and last season. Then when I sell out at that capacity increase another 10k seats.

Or I could slap a big 20,000 Sq. Ft. Video Screen in the middle of my stadium to block punts and kickoffs. Hmmmm, ya know this might actually help me win games also.

too many seats for the division you are in sorry. rainy days will kill it also though.

div III.xx is calculated of 48,000 base seats. so 72,000 is around the max you should have.

jesper always say add 50% seats to the base amount for your division.

How is 48k the magic number for div3?

Thank you for the valuable information, I'll put it to good use.

bull.
maxing at 80k last season and im the same with 50k ish for this season so far. so 72 is complete rubbish unless u intend mid table life.
i do agree that 100k is too much for div III though.

So what, last season you might have played a couple of games with 80k but the rest of the games you wasted money on financing a stadiumsize not needed.. 50% seems to be the smartest thing to do, unless you are nr 1 every season, forever

A seat grants $20 when it is filled and costs $2 a week to maintain... If you sell out your stadium twice a season, you are still way in the positive at this rate (you only need to sell each seat once every 10 weeks to break even on having that seat)

Not quite that simple, due to the way ticket sales are allocated between VIP, Executive, and normal seats.

When you sell out it's fine. Should you not sell out, having extra normal seats can actually lose you ticket revenue, as some of the attendance is allocated to those normal seats (at $20 a time), compared to VIP at $110.

That (yes, trying to make a smiley that points up )

To be honest I havent done too much math regarding the effect of watering out your seats with regulars, but just keep in the back of your head that some of the most respected managers did, I remember pstimpel who said the optimal number for TD would be 75k.. You might think thats too low, hell I might even think so, but nevertheless I think watering out will cost you more than you think...

This insight will greatly affect my teams future development. This is something I had not considered before due to my ignorance, but I greatly appreciate being corrected (and the positive affects my new development strategies will bring). +1 to you, and thank you!

I will certainly look into this if I ever have nothing to do... Until then, I will probably cap my development at 75k (and less while I await joining in TD in several seasons time.
