Hold on before you all shout at me, I know I'm being a bit premature but I'm an old bloke and it happens I thought I would ask some questions to see what you all thought?

1)Monkey won us the World Cup (Well Done Buddy!) Do we stick with him and try again if he wants the job that is?

2) If he doesnt who does want the gig and lets get behind them now, help them as best we can so we can win the thing again?

Just for the record I have no interest at this present time to be the National team coach.

well done phil for getting the ball rolling...

and again, well done Monkey, look how you have grown!! well done!!

im not going to throw my cap in the ring this time (as I haven't in any previous season)

Not sure on everyone's views on coaches, keeping one, one term only.. etc etc.. how long before they have another go... winner stays on? lol

either way, I say, lets have people put there hats in the ring and get this thing decided... and if not that, then at least start prepping for the defense of the cup... (and monkey, I had a word with HRH Queen Elizabeth II, she said giving a monkey a Knighthood was setting a precedent she wasn't happy with... sorry... I tried... )

i am undecided but i know MrCasado will be throwing his hat in and i will vote for him as doc isnt running for the job but im tempted to chuck my name in and let you guys decide if you want me back or someone else in the voting booth but if several people want me to not put myself forward then i wont

i feel at this early stage the baton should be passed on and more experience gained for others in the NTC position.

I also do feel its close to nepotism in who gets the job. i wont be throwing my hat into the ring and dont see myself doing so at any point i also wont be voting for any of the current crop of names banded around. Monkey great job but let someone else go at it and support them with the experience gained.

i think monkeys post has proved that its only popular names on the forum that with really have the vote which is a shame as i see good managers who dont post on here.

Really good points and yes I do agree it really is only the most "popular" managers that have a shout at becoming NTC. However no one remembers who comes second, only winners count, it is unfair but that is how it is. I don't have anymore loyality to Monkey than I would any other person in the NTC role. All I am saying is whether it is Monkey or not it doesn't really matter to me either way, I would like to see The UK win it again that is all. If we get behind someone now and help as best we can, then I believe that we will really have a good chance of claiming another World Cup which would be very cool indeed

the reason i will vote for MrC is because of all the help he gave me in the scouting phase and i know he will be dedicated to the cause and do a good job but there are ,several good managers who could do the job well but being known in the community is a big advantage in the job when begging people for their weekly scout reports

Another person who i am sure will throw their name into the hat is afooty who was in the running last for NT coach. Took a Div IV far in the cup last season knocking out a few good teams. Did the same when in Div V. Only thing preventing him getting promotion last season was a relegated former Div iii team with a bloated wage bill that went bust early this season.

Really good manager deserves consideration

i will support whoever gets the post as i did with Monkey and scouting.
i would much rather see a new manager in than an existing one even if they won it

I think until everyone who has wanted to be manager we shouldn't allow second terms. Not saying people dont deserver it, but for the games sake we should rotate.
