Hi all !


I would like to know what is exactly the utility of intelligence of the Linebacker.
It serves only to correct the defensive tactical errors? or others things ?

The Middle Linebacker is essentially the "quarterback of the defense". In real football, he evaluates the formation and motion of the offense before the ball is snapped, then calls out adjustments for his teammates accordingly. The smarter the MLB, the better he should be able to make reads and adjustments.

In GI the MLB intelligence is supposed to have helped the defense readjust when you defended the pass and the offense called a run play and vice-versa.
(Most probably intelligence is used in calculations when a LB is involved in a play)
