No.

It seems that the physical values, including weight and height will have a bigger effect on the gameplay.

There was mentioned "force" calculations (gets bonus by weight), there was mentioned "vision" calculations (gets bonus by height), there was mentioned something like an athletic calculation for positions (for example that too much strength does not help the QB in throwing)

The key word is bigger....however with this engine speed for Wrs according to developers was mandatory but....

Besides look at it this way....with ht and weight distribution being random it would be unfair to let them be the most important factors

Hopefully there are no most important factors, only factors which allows different kind of playing styles.

But maybe that's too much of a wish.

Not to forget: more balanced rush/pass, AFAIR

How did I've forgotten that one?

im glad your so optimistic that this will turn out as it has been said!! i dont share that view anymore, too many false promises and bugged engine issues from the past.
all these calculations will mean nothing in a couple of seasons anyway.
DL force calcs will match OL force calcs teams will no longer have the perfect 20/20 teams but 6'5 6'7 players across the team.

I contacted the game developers about the new engine. I have asked if I could make their reply public. They haven't replied to my request to make it public, so now I will make it public as I think the Community is entitled to know.

You can see my initial question, along with their reply below. There is both good and bad news. The good news is that they seem to be working on it, but the bad news is that it might not be going as smoothly as they could have wished.

As most of us had already guessed, then the new engine will not be arriving during this off-season, since there have been no time to test it. Hopefully we will get it no later than halfway through season 8, so we can test it for half a season.

Personally I am at the point of not caring about testing the match engine, since anything has to be better than the current match engine. So I hope that no matter what it will be implemented at the latest after season 8.

I really need to know, since I at a crossroad of having to decide, if I want to spend more time on this game, if it has no future developments.

Warm regards,

Jesper

Hello,

we will try to implement new engine till next season, but only for friendly matches (testing). But we cannot make a promise.

Best regards

Pretty much the same for me. I'll give them until next off-season and then make up my mind.

Devils advocate: What happens if you get the same answer in around 18 weeks from now?

Do you need a reminder for asking the same question?

if they only give an answer to a question by PM and we have to wait 18 weeks for any info on the new engine being here or not then things are already doomed.

yes i know its falling on deaf ears.... Give us some information, let us know things are not going well, tell us which parts of the engine your working on or struggling to make work. these little bits give us a small picture of how the engine might turn out.
