I am sure this has been discussed before but searching the forums does not seem possible.

I'm in a league where, owing to most teams having been bot for the majority of the season, the one promotion place is a shootout between me and a canny Spanish guy.

So (big assumption) assuming I beat the undefeated Spanish guy on the final weekend of the season we will end up with identical W-L records. What's the split? Is it our head-to-head points difference? Is it whoever has the highest margin (points scored v points conceded)?

Unfortunately (for me) the canny Spanish guy keeps beating sides by more points than I am managing, so I suspect I need to do something amazing if I am to overtake him.

(If you're reading this, canny Spanish guy, HOW DO YOU DO IT? LOL).

1. Win-Loss
2. Point Difference (PF-PA)

So score and score often!

Try run only against BOT opponents.

talking about promotion....will all bot teams for example in league IV be replaced by active teams from league V or new users?

No. bot-teams get replaced from bottom to top. So if there're bot teams in a low league, they will get replaced if a new player joins the game. If all teams in the lowest divison are replaced, then bot-teams in higher legues should be replaced. Don't know if that happens. If a team in a higher league gets BOT it will go all the way down season by season.

My personal take on that is, if there is no BOT available in the lowest division for a new owner, they will let the new people wait a little bit (few days) and will then assign the new player to any new BOT team in lowest division.
If this happens more often, the will bring in a new division, like for CE a division VI.

But I think at the moment the number of human players is not increasing. Maybe even decreasing. This BMI stuff and the not available new engine has driven long time members away and new players are confused, because FAQs are not updated and no real informations are available.

No. More promotions I see not happen. 1 per league. I think, that will not change.

This game requires a lot of patience. Getting promoted from V to IV is always a good thing, IMO. But, I didn't promote from IV to III last season and it has really helped me me build my team. I probably would have gotten crushed in III this season, so I'm probably better off with the extra season in IV.
