first game against the Russian juggernaut and Australia's defence got smashed by the quarterback throwing 67% and over 800 yards ... back to the drawing board

Well that sucks. Although Russia is a powerhouse in G-I world. It has to be expected.

Any reason why you choose the CBs and STCBs to be the same?

Offence seemed to go well. Maybe try a 3-4 defence?

Forum members have already determined that STCB's don't have a significant effect nor does playing them as CB and STCB.

If you got extra CBs there, you might as well use them. Cant do any harm.

And I know that given their tackling and tactical skills I wouldn't be playing either of my STCBs as regular CBs.

Only 1 game and was against a tourney favourite ... have made some changes, mainly to defence but not wholesale, and an adjustment to match strategy. Overall I don't think our performance was that bad and we still have a long way to go.

Australian NT stand proud ....

Australia have defeated Sweden 56 - 35 with a powerful QB Pierce Boyle throwing 67.9% for 711 yards.

If Russia can stitch up Canada and we can then beat them, we will position ourselves for a run at the next round.

Go you good thing!

Canada only just beat Sweden by 4 points, and we beat them by 21. So we have a great chance against Canada.

Offence and defence did great. So did the NT making positive changes/improvements. CBs may require some work still. I wanna see interception! Everything else is AWESOME!!!

Tim Harvey - a few missed tackles?

Almost scored on the last play also. 2 yards short!

Roll on next game!

p.s. We are beating New Zealand as they have no wins and not scored any points in 2 games.

Hard to do much with the CB's when Australia just does not have the quality, so need to make do with what we have. I'm relying on the LB's to provide support.

As for Harvey missing tackles - was only 2 and he was carrying a niggling injury into the game, but should be 100% for match v Canada.

Sorry, I was just picking out the some of the negetives. Which wasn't many in the end as I think you have found a good team unit and formations.
