Advice please.

I appreciate it is a hard one to answer but............

If I get all my staff from 3 to 10 in 1 hit, roughly when will I notice the difference?

Thanks in advance

your best only upgrading staff when u can afford a lvl 20 it not financially sound to keep buying a couple of levels as u pay for too many bonus wages.

So if I make attacking level 20

When will the players react to this?

1. How does the training work?
A player needs to reach 100 points in a particular skill to gain a level/point in that skill. Once he gains a level he again starts from 0 plus training points over the 100 from the last level gain.
Each training cycle (once per week) a player gets 10 +- 2 training points automatically, he also gets points from teamwork (teamwork divided by 2), each player also gets gets training points from the coaches skill (For Example: player is training kicking, the coaches skill in kicking is 17 so the player gets additional 17 training points) and lastly he gets 4 additional points for the training hall and 4 for each consecutive training hall upgrade. He also gains/loses points depending on training intensity and players age. And that's the secret of training in Grid-Iron world.

you'll see the effects on the first friday after you upgrade.

the staff level for any particular area adds that many points into the training pool for all players training in the relevent area

i.e if you upgrade attacking coach to 20

a player training an attacking skill/skills will get the following points (roughly)

10 (default average intensity) + (player's teamwork)/2 + 20 (from attacking coach) + up to 20 (from training hall depending on upgrades)

so you would get an extra 17 points (having upgraded from 3)

if you are only looking to upgrade one set of coaches up to 20, i always recommend getting the Def. guys first. you get the best return.

All defenders can use tackling
O-line gets blocking
Most players can benefit for agility

Thanks Stoo, for breaking it down into basics.
I pondered and pondered, asked myself some questions,, and then bought 500 VIP seats.

I decided I will probably come 3rd this year, possibly 2nd if I can beat Calchip. So promotion is out anyway. I have plenty of time to work on the team so I shall concentrate on being obsessed with money.

Thanks again.

I would build out the VIPs and Executive seats before anything else. It will make life much easier down the road.

yeah, prob a good shout

a few too many teams push for coaches too early without factoring in the large wage rise they'll face the following season from enhanced training.

once you've got a great financial base you're then free to build your players as you want them without worrying if it's going to push you into the red.

it's much harder to build up your stadium later in the game if your finances are draining into wages
