Just a couple of questions

I have read a lot of articles about the game and probably have read the answers to these somewhere but it hasn't stuck in my mind and now I can't find them!

Firstly, are rolls for consistency made on a match by match basis or play by play? i.e I play a player with consistency 1. Does he get one roll for the whole match to see how this affects him or does he get a roll every play to see how he performs on that particular play?

Secondly with regard to training; say I have a 20 fitness coaching team. If I have understood this right this means that players training fitness skills get an extra 20 points added to their training. The question is: Do they have to train fitness or would they still get these if I trained a particular skill within fitness, say speed for example. Would this still add the 20 points or do they have to train specifically fitness across the board?

The rolls are made before the match.

Any coach bonus is added to the specific area of training, no matter if you general or focus train. So in your case with a level 20 fitness coach, he would add 20 point to any player training general fitness or focus on strength, speed or stamina. The points are added together first before distributed between the different skills on random or as a result of focus. The FAQ explains how the points are distributed.

Thanks, I was aware how the points are distributed, just wasn't sure if the coaching bonus would apply to focus training within that regime.
