(Don't really consider myself a rookie anymore, but this seemed the most appropriate forum!)

Just wondering if anyone knows how injuries are determined. Hmm, that's worded quite clumsily. I mean how do injuries occur?
I had my whole team training at Low intensity, and their fitness was all in the 90s except for a couple folk. One player has now been injured during training - I think he was at 91% fitness before the training.
I know of course that injuries happen in training, freak injuries you can do nowt about and doesn't matter how fit/tired you are.
But within the system of this game, I thought the player's fitness and intensity of training directly affected the likelihood of injury. Yet I've had a player with a high fitness level training on Low intensity, and he gets injured.
If it's just random, then I'd be as well just training everyone at High intensity and running them into the ground!

All I know is what it says in the FAQ:

Depending on the training intensity you can gain or lose training points and gain or lose fitness (condition). See details below:
Maximum: + 6 training points and - 5 to - 10 fitness points
High: + 2 training points and - 3 to - 6 fitness points
Average: 0 training points and 0 to + 2 fitness points
Low: - 2 training points and + 3 to + 6 fitness points
Very low: - 4 training points and + 5 to + 6 fitness points

Keep also in mind that higher training intensity also means higher chance for players to get injured during the training.

Being a rook I don't see the benefits to training above adv. Can someone explain the best way to train your players. thanks

Honestly, it's all preference. If you want to squeeze the utmost potential out of your players, those few extra training points may seem like the way to go. if you need to make sure your team is on the field then you may opt for the low training again it's a decision to make.

But bringing the talk back to my original question....

My player had over 90% fitness, he trained at Low Intensity, and he still got injured. His fitness level right now is 99%, yet he's injured.

Doesn't really make sense to me, makes it seem like getting injuries is actually a bit random.

It is random, but with high intensity of training you have more chance to get an injury than with low intensity of training.
Low intensity of training doesn't guarantee that you won't get an injury

That's exactly what I think too.

Injuries will surely occur, not matter what Intensity is chosen?

I'd guess it's random with a better chance with higher intensity as well.

I know this game can't be compared to real life a lot, but look at real life with this. No matter how hard you're training, there's always a chance of a pulled, strained, or torn muscle. There's always a chance that you trip and break something while running, or find a hole and turn your ankle. I'd say it's the same on here.

I have had no Injuries, but then I have a Level 4 Medical Team as I didn't know any different when I first joined the game

Perhaps it is not as bad a decision as I initially though!
