remember though, the high strength stuff is just a guess.

And DTs are not really important against the pass

wouldnt go that far just not as prominent as DEs

Ever seen a sack by a DT? I know I haven't

true.. but im sure we are due a miracle around here soon. cant play 4 DEs either hence not so prominent.

for a guy who's watched whatever football he can living in scotland i really dont know all that much on Defence.

What i had hoped for was a Jevon Kearse type player(was he DE or DT?), or dumervil which he probably already is close too thou nowhere near as good lol

Basically a sack master if this game has such a thing?

thanks to everyone for the help and sorry for late replies, been real busy in reality this week

DT dont get pressures or sack so they appear to be irrelevant against a passing offense. however, more dts MAY actually increase your pressure total. that is speculation though.

also, i would say str for dlineman is pretty well supported.

This guy would be fine at DE, imho agility at this position is more important than speed. I would train his speed. If you can get it up above 16 then switch him to MLB or SF othrwise his intel is wasted on the DL.

Jevon Kearse was a DE (and a Gator alum) and to get that in this game, you need a high con 16+, spd 19+/ str 19+, then train tackle, agility, pos and vision to 15+.....that would be my suggestion

like oneknee said, agility seems to be a much bigger factor in getting pressures and sacks than speed.
tackling doesnt appear to make a difference for DE. no one runs the ball and whether it plays a roll in turning pressures into sacks is unclear. the diff btw press and sacks is minimal in this game.

Im sorry, but this just seems like BS... Speed and str plus 19, why??? It only seems to affect starting rating anyway, and as oneknee said, agiltiy seems to be a much bigger factor anyway.. Cons doesnt seem to work as intended and even though it did, whether you got the exact same number every game or a little better/a little worse would even out anyway, which means that cons is pretty useless IMO and only something the really rich teams seems to battle for on high talent/int/phys for reasons unknown... Prove to me that cons matters, any prove however small will do Then I MIGHT believe you Cheers
