Hello guys,
What is the reason for the fact that nearly everybody use 2 WR/TE instead of 4 WR for passing plays?

doesnt really make a difference. its usually because teams start out as running teams and use TE to block. after the team has developed, the TE already has a high BPOS, so most simply convert the blocking TE into a receiving te.

This game has logic in place that in practice punishes you for playing more than one player at one position. if you have two players playing at the same position, and one is better than the other, you're effectively reducing your output by taking quality chances away from your best player.
By following this theory you can see why few people play 4 wr, or double up on CBs

Sorry I don't understand what you exactly mean.
Should I trust in 4 WR OR 2 WR and 2 TE ?

2 wr and 2 te will do you just fine. What they are saying is putting 2 wr on one side will make the computer select only one of them on passing plays, they are not both options every play..........at least that is the feedback from folks here. I have not seen any benefit lining up 2 wr on one side, but some folks still do it. I would urge you to experiment and see what you think works best

4 WRs is worse than 2 WRs/2 TEs, eventually even I think we'll see teams converting to 1 WR/1 TE unless this is fixed, which sucks for the development of the game really..

Ah okay. Thanks for explanation.
Further I'd like to know what is the best formation in terms of RB/WR/TE.
Yes I know, I should adjust the formation to my players and not reverse but I need this information for new purchases.

Increase more receiving players the chances to catch
or ought I buy 2-3 smart catchers and got more RB-Defense for the QB?
At last it's a game and I'm not conversant with the engine.

don't spend any money on a RB, this is a spot that can be filled by most. look for spare OL type players and chuck one in at RB

i'm not sure anyone knows the best formation yet, but i think if you work towards having 2xTE and 3xWR on your roster you can then mess around and find what you think is best with the ability to play any formation you want.

What's been forgotten here is this game is very weird to say the least.
I've had some success with 2 WRs on one side and it's the standard formation for the best team in ASE - Havana Marlins.

And just to chuck something else in, there is a team in ASE TD who uses 2 CBs on one side and none on the other with no adverse effect.
I did raise this in bug reports and Admin replied they would look at it but nothing since - my guess it's something else that can't be fixed in this GE.
