now that you have told everyone he has a talent of 1.5*. best to fire him and save the wages. no good wasting $2500 trying sell a worthless player that most likely wont get a bid.

if you are seriously low on cash, it be better to selling a different player that will make you some good $$$.

i.d be selling your QB. $54K per week in wages is just too high for your stadium size and run happy division.

Why would i sell my star player who can atually create TD's and win games. After all if i win a league match i get extra 18k. now if i just sell everyone over 27 then it would reduce my chances at winning a game since they all have good ratings and and wouldnt get that much from the sale anyway. i just need to lay someone with a decent stadium a couple of times. Its gonna take a while to sell these players and have to pay the fee as well.

the problem is that he can't actually create TDs or win games..alone. He needs protection, that's tackles, he needs receivers, WR and TE, if you're not well-rounded at least in these positions, the impact he have will be VERY minimal, and deff not worth his salary.

It is widely accepted that the strategy for building a succesful team must begin with expanding your stadium. Then you can try to grab some cheap high talent players and bring down the average age of your team. You need to be patient and wait for those players to improve because if you don't have the stadium to support your high salary stars then you will go bust sooner or later. Just sell your QB and wait until you have maxed out VIP and Exec's before you pay such ludicrous wages.

You should read the 'PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING! ' thread and read it properly.

I do understand, however if i fire some needless players or old players and take on some friendlies with large capacity stadiums it is possible to maintain the high paid player. WHo wants to lose every week or finish below 4th in the table. After all its not just about having fun, its also about having a win. But i porobably will sell the guy soon. I just need to win some more games to get added dollars. I also like the fact that there is a high possibility he will gain a lot of ratings and be wworth more for a sell...thanks for your post.

Winning is what the game is all about. Can you win without your Qb? Yes...
Why fire your old players? At bpos <2.5 you probably can find cheaper replacements with similar skills. Besides selling a good Qb is probably not something I thought you were keen on doing. Besides what are ya going to do in the higher division you will hopefully promote to when your 29+ year olds have gained no skill or retired. (Time to rebuild?)

Will that HB win you games on his own? Depends on how much you 'scout' your opponents tactics /formations. A lot of people run with split backs(agile, no power running). Besides your Qb will share a % of the carries depending on where you place the RB.

Will you make a huge profit selling your QB?
Well lets see, will
SP > 170K +54K*no of weeks-18k
So unless you want to make him your Qb for some time to come.....

Do you really think i could get 170k for the QB? He is young and has very high talent. and obviously my game will be set on pass plays which is obvious. Why would anyone think i would run a game?? Maybe it is a tactic that can elude a defence. i think having a great QB could be a phycalogical effect on my opposing teams as long as i have 2 great RB's.
My main issue is the OL's . As for the promotion...The next season will give me opportunity for new major sponsor. But he will be a scare tactic.
Its also very hard to buy a decent player, and experience is everything for match result in my mind. also team chemistry. team chemistry could be better than consistency in a player...do you agree.

Ridiculous QB to have at this point in your development..........but hey, what do I know? I would step back, review some more entry forum topics, get some more seats, consider replacing all or most of your aging guys, get some more seats, sell that expensive QB, get more seats, look for 16 and 17 yr olds at minimal cost from the transfer market, get more seats, keep any of the transfers that are 3* and higher and finally, get more seats

My seats are coming!!!There just isnt a projected seating info...but yes i should , however at the moment i just want to win!!!!
I know it sounds selfich to my club but these completion passes can increase the rating of some of my layers as well.
Dont you think the big player can improve the team as a whole in ratings?

Well you might get lucky selling the qb but I thought you paid 170k for your Qb. I was just trying to find out whats the minimum amount you need to get to break even. Which is why if you plan to sell him it might make sense doing it sooner rather than later to cut your losses.

IMO you do not need to sell your Qb if you manage your finances though he is a tad expensive. Apparently you were having problems managing your finances which is why everyone else is suggesting selling him. Trust me, at your level a good Qb will probably win you most games even if you have catching=1 WR/TE but you are 2 games behind the division leader and need them to drop a game after you beat them for you to promote to div 2.
If you are in the same division your sponsor income is not going to go much higher

Psychological effect

Mayte, sledging into your screen during the game might have a bigger psychological effect than recruiting 2 mediocre Rbs, 1 great Qb and rushing

No it doesnt seem to work that way.....Your players will improve atthe same rate irrespective of who they play with or how they play. The improvement is based on age and talent(and limited by talent)

On a sidenote reading FAQs is fun
