Does anyone knows a guide for rookies like me? Like the first steps to get my team on track.

But I have a question, Training, i play a soccer manager game where training is very important. So i wanted to know how to be succesful building my team.
What sould i look for when i search players to train, all players improve their skills at the same rate? What are the variabales.

What training intesity should i use. Wich skills should i focus on?

I know it's a lot, but i want some advices before making big mistakes.
Thanks

I'll try not be sarcastic in my response, but I'm warning ya, I tend to get that way..

Try the READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING! thread, there might be some good info there, I wouldn't know though, it's not like I've helped write it or anything.

Alternatively, the thread titled, "A Few Game Engine Breakthroughs" might have some useful info. Then again, maybe the mods and admin don't know what they're talking about either..

Please read the first thread in the rookie section entitled: Announcement : PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING! Read it and reread it every so often, as you will become more familiar with the game and some of it will make more sense the second and third time reading it.

The road to success is very subjective, in that you will get a variety of opinions. You need to read the thread noted above, get familiar with the players on your squad and then develop your own game plan. You can use that thread, the FAQ's, and other forum threads to get ideas from. In the end, it will come down to how you want to build your team and players skills.

Since preliminary "natural" positions are completely random, you will need to spend some time and determine what skills are important to what position and then search for players that meet criteria that is in line with your goals. Age is important, as the younger players will give you more time to train.

All players do not improve their skills at the same rate. Training is explained in detail in the FAQ section on training. Training is determined by what method you train with (i.e. train all skills or "focus" on one skill). It is also determined by the standard training pts (10 +/- 2) per player, plus coaches pts if you have coaches for that area of training, plus training center or fitness center pts if you have those facilities, plus teamwork rating for each player (which is teamwork/2 added to your training pts). Again, this is all explained in the FAQ, as well as the percentage pts each skill will get depending on what method of training you are using.

Training intensity should generally always be on average. If you train higher intensity, your players will lose energy quickly and soon they will perform less than they are normally able to do. Average intensity will not lose any energy. Keep all your players at 90% or above and you will be fine.

Skills you should focus on is again subjective. I would only focus on a fitness skill if either speed or strength has capped or I want to pop one of the fitness skills in a particular week. Otherwise, I would always train all skills on fitness. Once you have identified the position you want certain players to play at, you are better able to decide what primary and secondary skills you want to train and whether to use "focus" or not. Generally, I will use focus for any "attacking" or "defending" skills, as I want to control where the bulk of the training points go each week. If I'm training kicking or tactical skills, then I would be more likely to train all skills in those groups.

Again, read, read and read again, there is a wealth of knowledge and information all over the forums and you can look up just about any topic you want to find information on. Best of luck

You're welcome, reading is the key here and then developing your own strategy is what will separate you from the other teams. Players on the transfer market do not reveal their talent, nor do players on teams other than yours. You can find out the talent by "scouting" a player, either one on the transfer market or one from another team you're curious about. Each manager has up to 5 scouts per week to be used as they like at a cost of $3500 per scout

At the bottom right corner of any player profile is a tab that says, "scout report." Click on that, then confirm and you will be sent the players scouting report (including the talent) to your messages inbox

You get a max of 5 of these each week and they refresh on Friday 4:00 am server time. They also cost $3500 for each report.

Each cost $3,500 and you only got 5 available each week. They reset Friday morning.
