I think we should name the team and even backups on the private forum but not actually pick the players until the last possible day. No point giving the other countries time to scout our players

agreed...

ryandinho, any chance you could add an edit function or something to the database, just I can see us using it long term and might be good to be able to update things? (or have it so we overwrite if we use the same player ID again maybe?)

For example, Johnstone has gone up 2 points since his stats were posted... I expect him to even be considered for another season though lol

hey folks

was gonna start sending out a couple of scout requests to people this week, will post a pov. team on the forum this week, gonna leave it a good few short of the full 50 so that we can continue to find people during the recruitment process.
but i have a set group in mind from what i've seen to date.

Oneknee asked about a similar function earlier too. It's definately a good idea. I didn't put an edit option in originally because I wasn't sure if anyone would even use the database and then if they did, I didn't want someone to use it in a bad way if their player wasn't chosen or if they took the huff. If everyone agreed I could set up another section and give a handful of users access so that they would be the only ones who could make the changes rather than widespread access which could be abused potentially. Although if anyone has any other ideas I'd be happy to hear them

Sounds good to me..... Even if its something like a select few can see players with the same id number and choose to delete one etc...

Working on it now. I'm setting it up so that theres an edit page for each position. I'll set a separate password for that section and send it to a few people who can then be responsible for making any changes as they're informed by other users if players skills improve.
