I would love some kind of skill description and on the basis of the description I would have to make my choice on how to manage and train my team. I do not want a list of what skills are important for each position.

I son''t want to know what skills are important to each position either, but I'd like to know what they mean to each position. Footwork for example means different things in real football: QBs has to have good footwork, receivers, OL, DL, RBs and DBs as well. Everything in GI just seems like a crap shoot and sometimes you get lucky. At least let us know something...

Of course strength is more important than speed, but you still need speed. Just ask Al Davis. Oh, wait.. Maybe not. And don't forget agility either for you OL.

See this is where I get confused...I would think footwork was more imported to the OLine/DLine, not agility.

To me agility is the ability, in simple terms, to change your direction at speed. E.g. a WR to twist around/avoid tackles etc.

Footwork is more to do with on the sport movement and balance...eg when in the Oline/Dline.

Yeah, you've got a point. But agility is the ability to redirect in quickly in small areas (the way I interpret it) and that's definetly important to OL. I'm not sure what the footwork skill is, so I'm not really training it before the admins come out and tell us what different skills means to each position. However, I doubt that it will never happen..

See again to me footwork training is running through tyres/hoops...

Agility is running and going around cones/sticks or sprinting between 2 lines and turning very quick etc...

See I agree with this...

OL is acting like a wall so blocking and footwork (on the stop movement, getting his feet planted to block the tackling DL) need to be spot on.

DL is moving trying to get throgh to the ball, so tackling and his agility (to get around the OL) needs to be spot on.

i put strength before footwork on OL and speed before Agility on DL. both get worked into the abilities after that though.

dont think speed is all that important for an Olineman. personally, str blocking and footwork are the most important

If you are planning to train physical skills for someone you plan to make a OL, then let the strength cap and any skill points used for stamina is a bonus anything on speed is unnecessary

let me ask one question:
does center need decent passing skill, because he snaps the ball between his legs to the quarterback/punter?

I hope not...passing is a total different skill in real football than snapping the ball.

Besides, it doesn't look like there are fumbles on the Center-QB ball exchange, so I'm going to say no passing required for centers.

it seems like the center position is absolutely pointless in this game. you can play anyone there and he can block the NT.
