You might call it bleak, but I just sold a CB for more than a million starting bid was $25.000

So if the right player hits the market, then the action is very much alive!

Yeah it's funny; it really depends on the market. I've sold high performance players for $25-50k. I just sold a high intelligence 4.5 star talent that went for only $3,500. I've noticed similar players on the market a day later go for 50-100x that amount.

I think if you look for a 20 intel 4.5 talent, youngster, you can get them for very cheap.... but you have to sacrefice consistency...

the market does seem to be reasonably consistent, there are 'cheap' players, but if your looking at a 20 intel guy, if he has decent talent it then seems to be the consistency that decides his price.

I only keep 3.5 talent guys on my roster now, and tend to start all my sales at 1k, had the last guy i sold go in the top 10 (at the time was actually in the top 5) after starting at 1k...

Well Viktor. . I just feel myself that if there is an issue then Admin should not just fine you with no recourse. . they should message the owner and at least have some dialogue. It all seems a bit draconian to say we have evidence and so this is the outcome. .

Imagine if you had been accused of a crime and thrown into jail as they said they had evidence and so there was no recourse. .you would rightly feel undone by the system. .

ok so this is extreme but you get the point. . maybe this guy was at fault maybe he was not. we cant know. . but the admins should be giving warnings or asking questions rather than just handing out fines with a 'code of silence' to follow??

Well I did not elaborate on that question because it seemed rhetorically informative to me. Anyways to elaborate, you would still be appealing to the Admin/s.

The parallel you have drawn to a big extent does not really exist. If you were to draw a parallel, it would be roughly similar to a president having deemed someone unworthy of a pardon

And well airing out opinions, venting out, etc is what the forums are around for. But it seemed more like you were trying to reason rather than venting out. Pardon me, sir, I misread the tone Last edited on 2010-08-22 at 20:51

I managed to sell a player recently, with capped physicals of 12 and 9, but with 15 Blocking and 16 Catching, he went over a million, madness

Someone wanted an OL who could hold onto a ball that ricocheted off an eligible receiver I guess

Think that sums up just how much people are willing to pay for players with BPOS and high non physical skills...

Yeah those are all over the place if you look hard enough. You can also get them to go into the hundreds of thousands if there are enough people online to bid on them; especially with high physicals or primary attributes.

Another one of those players I ended up selling went for less than 20k. The next week a similar player at the same position went for over $400,000. Bid wars are a seller's friend

Bid wars are indeed, a seller's friend and they also cause buyers to lose their minds for a few minutes

im not surprised. with how little physicals matter in this game (a WR/TE with LESS than 20 TOTAL str + speed can get 200 yards catching if his catching is higher enough), its all about the skills

That is until someone with a high physicals meets up with that "skills only" player

To avoid being fined because of this blurry market demand rule, GI could do what an online basketball game I belong to does. For each player on the transfer market, they tell you what he has been going for. Example: "23-24 year old Centers with 9 blocking have been going for 10K to 20K recently". They also list the talent level, but it's not a secret like it is here.

It would also stabilize the inconsistent bidding on players of similar skill levels. Which could be good or bad depending on which side of a bid you're on.
