Hondecks Colts vs. UW Huskies

Game one has the unbeaten Hondecks Colts taking on the UW Husky team that had to sneak in the back door this year for the wildcard play off spot. Hondecks Colts go into the game heavy favorites as UW had tried to tarnish the Colts’ perfect season a few weeks ago and came up short with their starters in place. After talking to UW staff members, back up Rachid Mari will get the start at QB instead of long time husky field general Tyson Fleming. Expect Thanh Stewart to come out looking to air it out. The Huskies have two solid corners but the relentlessness of the Colts passing attack should prove to be too much for UW’s secondary. Hondecks Colts should move on to the second round of the play offs and that much closer to their quest of GI Mafia Cup immortality.
PREDICTION: Colts 28, UW 14

Alphas vs. Babyback Chefs

Game 2 features the Babyback Chefs taking on the Alphas. I expect this game to be close in the first quarter or so, but the Alphas should pull ahead at or right after half time. The only thing that concerns me with the Alphas is their team energy level. If they train high on this next training update, that might allow the Babyback Chefs to shake things up come Monday. This is a long shot though. The Chefs’ lack of experience at QB is really going to be the deciding factor in this one. The Alphas have a great QB in Andelko Paden that should give Chef corners MacGinnis and Picard headaches all day.
PREDICTION: Alphas 21, Chefs 7

Foreskins vs. La La Land

Game 3 will highlight the Foreskins and La La Land. This is a tough one to call due to the fact these teams played once in the beginning of the season. La La Land had a lineup of backups and a lot changes when you make it to the playoffs. Teams get hungry and that golden gloc is looking extra shiny this year. However, the Foreskins have been cut and trimmed and are looking like the favorites in this match up.
PREDICTION: Foreskins 35, La La Land 10

Hakers vs. Gators

Game 4 is my pick for game of the week. The defending GI Mafia Cup Champs should be favored in this one, but don’t count out the Gators at all. Both teams have gone on record stating they will be playing backups for the entirety of the Mafia Cup season, but one of them might try to stick it to the other by tossing some starters into the line up. If neither team puts starters in, I see the Hakers coming out on top. Their training staff has done an incredible job this year and they have their players playing at a very high level. The Gators do have the speed advantage here, but team speed in GI isn’t the same as in real life.
PREDICTION: Hakers 31, Gators 28

Yeah, great job abs! I think your spread is a little bit close for our game, my back ups are WAY BACK. My kicker and punter will be my only starters playing, so if I score 7 on Hakers mob squad, it will be a moral victory. My back ups are at least 3 seasons away from being productive members of society. Meanwhiler, Hakers back ups could have won his league title this year...........so I will revise the prediction to 35-7

If only speed and strength mattered a bit more. The extra time in the gym with lack of caps has put my skill training wayyyyyyyy behind schedule
