BEARS CHAMPS IN DA END

Early this morning a defensive battle was played between our 2 finalists in: The Chicago Bears and The Galrauch Raiders. As one analyst said " I like The Bears in this one because they've got the star WR in Israel Mendes, but they've got other guys who can put up some yards. Galrauch only has 1 target and as hard as it may be to stop him, if you keep him under 250 yards, you're probably going to win the football game". He hit the nail on the head, because that's exactly what happened. Neo caught for 150 yards, which is solid for any reciever. But he got passed to over 40 times and only caught the ball 10 times, which won't get the job done when that's your only target. Meanwhile on the other side of the ball, The star of The Bears "Israel Mendes" only caught the ball 4 times, but came out with the same number of yards as Neo. The difference was: he got into the end-zone 2 times, Neo didn't score. " Coming into the game we knew that Mendes was a huge threat and that we had to play solid defense on him. I told my guys to play very tight coverage and not to let him get thrown to. He only caught 4 balls, so I guess it worked out pretty well. But when he did catch there was no stopping him as he averaged over 38 yards per reception." Monkey said after the game. A reporter then asked "looking back on it now, would you've played the same way you did on Mendes, or played more how The Bears defense played on Neo (let him catch but then hit him right away)". "Well I like the fact that there star only caught the ball 4 times. But maybe we went a little too overboard on trying to not let him catch it. But holding The Bears to 17 points is great, and I'm proud we did that. It was our offense that needed help." Monkey replied. He went on to say that maybe it's time for his young club to find producers other then Neo. Neo didn't comment on the game so no telling how he feels about his performance, but I bet'cha he's very dissapointed with the result. The QB of The Raiders struggled tremendously in this game. " He's young I can gurantee nerves were getting to him, but c'mon almost every time he threw the ball he was getting knoced down afterward" Monkey said. Even though he was awful in this outing, this QB was IMO the most underatted player in the cup. Congrats to both managers for their fine performances
