For the training, what do you prefer. Train only one characteristic (agility, tackling..) or all ?

I'll probably keep this reserved for people that have been here 4 months or less from now on...since this is the rookie forum and all.

I have no idea if i am allready here for 4 months. Can you convert this in a more familiar unit, like cigarettes ?

It depends on which category you want to train.

Fitness - Train all until Speed or Strength maxes, then train the one that didn't max. This has the added benefit of getting Stamina to a respectable level without concentrating on it. Some people might only train Strength...I'm gonna stick with the idea that if Speed doesn't matter yet, it will someday.

Tactical - This depends on the position, but for the most part I train all here. I don't like to waste 10% of my training points when there's only two skills splitting the pot. (If you focus here, you'll get roughly 2 pops in what you didn't focus on for 9 pops in what you did...I consider each to be more valuable than that for most positions).

Kicking - Same thing as tactical...you might as well train both at the same time. It will save you money on kickers if one person can do both jobs anyway.

Attacking - Focus on what you want to train unless you don't have a position picked for the player yet. Most of your players won't need passing. The ones that need passing don't need catching...just too much waste here.

Defending - Same as Attacking for the most part...Focus on what you want. The ONLY exception might be at CB if you want to rotate them between STCB and DCB.

Good luck.

Not without knowing how many cigarettes you smoke per day.

(Man...what a wasted question... )

Very interested.
I agree with you, I had the same reasoning. Concerning the kicking, fitness and tactical, It is a very good analysis, I made the mistake to training only one characteristic. It's true, It was a waste.
Thanks for answers Two Pints, your a very good manager !

If you was to start all over again on G.I knowing what you know now what would be the first 5 things you would have done as a manager?

1) Sign up for a region other than North America.

2) Sell/Fire anyone over 26.

3) Completely ignore what GI states as a player's BPOS. Go entirely off skills and talent. Find a player with good talent, INT, and consistency to put at QB.

4) Get my QB up to ~10-12 Passing and a WR up to ~10-12 Catching (if in a division with humans, otherwise hold off on this until I am).

5) Build as many VIP and Executive as I can before adding regular Seats.
