Hello everybody, i think, i've understood how to place my team on the field, but i'm not able to make my team kick a field goal. Semms curious to me that at less then 20 yds to the end zone, my team decides to make a punt instead then a field goal.
Can you help me? Thx!

If you set your tactics up to kick within 20 yards, then that doesn't mean you'll kick inside the 20 ( 80 in GI) because you have to hike it back 10 yards ( I believe ) and the uprights are 7 yards into the end-zone So kicking from the 80 would actually be a 37 yard kick

correct field go length but the endzone is 10 deep and the long snap is 7 yards

Okay thanks, new it was 17 yards but wasn't sure which was which

if you havent sorted it yet here is a step by step guide

club > matches > orders for next match > orders.

once your here you will see the "on 4th down punt or kick field goal" click on the box to the left of it so it has a tick in it, then open the box with the options to the right that say "if distance < ?? yards" then pick the max distance you want to try the FG from remembering to take the 17yards mentioned before so if you put it as < 40 yards you would attempt a FG from the 77 yard line or closer. hope this helps and good luck

btw your kicker needs about 7-8 kicking and punting to consistently make fgs from the 20 yd line

BTW since your team is just 2 weeks old I wouldnt bother about a acquiring a kicker till at least the end of the season, unless you find someone who doesnt cost a lot & has a low salary. And if you find such a kicker I d advice selling him off before the end of the season as soon as you know you have little or no chance of promotion this season or immediately after game 18 this season.
