(I was reading ze Merc 'skill vs tactics' thread and well..... )
Does it make sense scouting players 22 and over that are on the TM? Or rather whats the use of scouting players 22 and older?

Well, I suppose if you do not have good training facilities and you find a guy who's over 22 and has all of the attributes you are looking for at the right levels already and there aren't any younger guys with as good of attributes, you could consider buying him. It's a matter of how big of a need you have at that position

of course. firstly because i don't regard 22 as old.secondly because even if 22 was old.. i f i need help at this payers position, and he's pretty good i'd wanna get him. why scout him? i'd scout him before i pay the big bcks for him. scouting a guy you're only gonna bid a couple of grands for is a waste. also, scouting tells he a guys talent, which tells me what his max BPOS rating is gonna be. that's really important to know.

Wouldnt 4-5 seasons of friendlies already pushed him to the max bpos?

4 seasons of only friendlies.... possibly not... iv seen 4.5 talent players, starting with only .5 or 1 star BPOS take up to 40 weeks playing all league, friendlies and cup games to get to top BPOS... thats just over 2 seasons of every game...

so, 4 seasons of only friendlies, possibly not, but 5 you would probably expect it...

ot sure bout that. but i didn't mean a players personal max BPOS. i meant the max BPOS possible(4.5-5 stars talent are required to get the max rating of 5 stars).

yep, i think what Viktor is getting at is, if a player has been playing for 4-5 seasons, you would expect him to be near his max bpos...

yes you would.. on the other hand.. why only play young guys in friendies? there's always at least a couple of league games that are either against a bot team, or onerelevant for your team, where you can use the young guys.
aso, don't forget that you can play them in the first couple of cup rounds if you're lukcy and get some easy opponents.
if you do that, you'll have those guys be at their max in 2-3 seasons, rather than in 4.
