im pretty sure they dont get reassigned or wasted

it should be like the FAQ says
if you capped a skill and train it, once you obtain the 100 Training points, you have a 1/3 chance to gain a level. i assume if you dont then you lose those 100 points

fromt FAQ
7. Is it possible for a player to go above his maximum?
It is possible, it's just that much harder for the player to achieve that.
If a player is at his maximum then he has 1 in 3 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 1 then he has 1 in 5 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 2 then he has 1 in 10 chance to gain a point/level.
If a player is at his maximum + 3 then he has 1 in 20 chance to gain a point/level.
It is impossible for a player to go more than 4 above his maximum.

Note: Fitness is not included in that. It has separate rules.

it does?

Yes. If a player goes over his randomly assigned fitness cap it is a bug and should be reported. Fitness caps are random and "hard", meaning there is no chance for exceeding them.

I've had a couple that did before. Sold some of them. Are you positive it is a bug? How do you know?

There isn't anything in the FAQ that I saw that said that fitness was different than the others...

It is. Admin and Pstimpel and I along with several others were in the discussion on the bugs forum. Feel free to message Pete, perhaps I am mistaking. It wouldn't be the first time.

Edit: I'm like 95% sure Pete was there.

I read through that entire thread. That only adds to the frustration of communication. The FAQ's still haven't been updated to reflect that clarification? Obviously bugs haven't been fixed if caps are passed still. I have nothing against researching things you are interested in. There are some things in this game that you can find easily by looking in the right places. I ask you, how would someone know to look in the bugs to clarify fitness caps?

No question about - admins should spend some time for fixing the documentation

Is there a wiki already for GI? Unless Admin allows mods or someone else to change FAQ then we need to find a better way to access information...
