So, I know there is this nebulous skill importance notion out there, but could we start a discussion about the importance of intelligence at each position? What do you think are the minimus?

I think that in real life offensive and defensive are the stupidest.

Like a lot of skills this is an unknown factor but I tend to go for players in all positions who have intelligence above 10. No absolutes as imho it has a lot less effect than the primary positional skill (eg QB passing etc), BPOS and stamina.
That said I've always gone with high intelligence QBs and the more productive WRs & TEs I've had seem to have had higher intelligence although this may just have been conincidence.

I tend to think that O-lineman are right up there with QB's as the smartest on the field. I would go:

QB-15
RB-5
WR-5
OL-13
TE-13

DL-10
LB-15
CB-10
S-13

G-1(they just don't matter in this game)
KR-5(about like running backs to me)
K/P-10

Those are my minimums. I'll go a little under those if the player has a good skill set, but not much. Last edited on 2009-11-16 at 14:07
