You have 1 week to improve your financial situation (meaning that you need to be above the limit at the same time next week). If you will not be able to do that, then your club will be declared bankrupt.

I got this message today. I play a home cup game on the 10th. Should I be worried?

My economy now is -550.093

A sold player of today will give me 130.000.

My salaries are 735.000 (although Highest salaries says 636.000), my stadium capacity is now 28.800: 2270 VIP, 5355 Exec., 21.175 Seats.

This accounts to 994.500 if the stadium gets sold out. So if the ticket money is divided equally (and the salaries get payed on Wednesday after the match), I shouldn't be worried, right?

Let's check this with math.

-550,093(debt) + 130,000(player sold) + 497250(cup game) + 2(13,500)[match day sponsors for Div. III, I don't recall what they are in Div.II.] -735,000(salaries due on the update, they still count against you) + 90,590(friendly income based on attendance of 9,000)[you hopefully will have more, but shouldn't have less, so this is a 'safe' number]- 79660(seat maintenance cost) - any other maintenance costs you have= -136,163 - other maintenance costs

Since I'm pretty sure the other maintenance costs aren't $263,000. You should be ok.

-550,093
+130,000
+497,250
-735,000
+ 90,590
- 79,660
-136,163
--------- =
-783,526

But the -735,000 is last, so I should be okay based on that.

Hmm..we're both wrong. I added instead of subtracted something.

-550093
+130000
+497250
+90590
-79660
-735000
+2(13500)
-------- =
-619913

So if you don't have fitness center, youth academy, training hall, or club shop, you need to find $219,913. If you do, you need to adjust for maintenance on those properties as well.

But the wages get paid on Wednesday, right?

And the cup game is on Tuesday.

So in that light I should be okay as the others said.

i'm afraid that might not be good enough. your wages are fairly high. do you lose more than 350k on economic updates?
