So, I'm new and been looking around a bit at other rosters, and the ones I've seen are the same as my starting roster in terms of size (around 30 players). Given that NFL rosters are between 45-53 players, I was wondering if 30-35 is normal for GI (economic factors aside) or not.

I ask this so I know if I need to worry much about adding players quickly for depth.

Due to the economic things involved in the game, I'd say the average roster around here is between 30 and 35. Some are even smaller(mostly brand new players), some are much bigger. I think I'm somewhere between 40 and 50, although I haven't counted lately.

It's nothing you have to be worried about right now. As long as you have a good set of starters, a small roster should actually benefit you because your wage bill will be smaller.

42 at the moment on my roster but my players still have low wages so I still make a profit every week.

I think roster size is very much an individual thing. We've had this discussion before and the opinions vary quite a bit if I remember correctly.

Theoretically I'd prefer a neat, small roster but since I have to build up my (more talented) prospects and find out where the caps are for my youth players and such, I can't keep it as small as I'd like to.

So it's kinda up to you and how happy you are with your roster.

I want a small roster eventually in order to save money on wages. BUT the roster should always allow for some tactical variations and I want to have back-ups in case of injuries.
So until I reach all those goals, my squad will be bigger then I'd actually like it to be!

68 players here, also because of the prospects running around.

I know that there is a limit that will block you from buying new players, just cant remember it!

Help me, anyone

Thanks for the help. I think I'll slowly build to 40-50 or so.

You can exceed - you are not able to buy/hire new players from the transfer market, but you can draw the youth players week by week and go over 70
